First meeting of BWGC book club

Tuesday, November 9, 2010

BWGC's newly formed book group, The Circle Reads, gives members a new opportunity to learn more about challenges faced by disadvantaged women and their families.   At the first meeting, we will discuss Children Who See too Much: Lessons from the Child Witness to Violence Project, by Betsy McAlister Groves.  Groves, an Adjunct Lecturer on Education at Harvard University Graduate School of Education and founder of the Child Witness to Violence Project at Boston Medical Center.

It was chosen because of its profound relevance to much of the population BWGC serves through our grants.

The Circle Reads will meet on November 9, 2010.  For details, members should log in and check the members' calendar.
