Asylee Women Enterprise

Asylee Women Enterprise (AWE) has grown into a community of nearly 40 women and children currently seeing asylum.  In addition to housing, AWE has a robust day program where asylum seekers receive access to critical services (legal, medical, mental health), case management, education, job readiness and community. Asylum seekers learn English, prepare for self-sufficiency through workforce development activities and learn about U.S. social and work culture.

Funding from The Baltimore Women's Giving Circle will permit AWE to expand their transitional housing program from 41 to 50 slots and help cover the costs for their day program.
