BioTechnical Institute

Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training and on-the-job work experience, BioTechnical Institute of Maryland (BTI) graduates realize employment options and new careers, while employers benefit from a stream of ready-for-hire, well-qualified lab technicians. The program starts with a six-week series of evaluation and programs followed by a six-month curriculum of lectures and laboratory exercises. The final part of the program is a 200-hour paid internship program.  BTI addresses barriers to employment by providing case management, legal assistance, and support services to ensure a participant's success.

Funding from the Baltimore Women's Giving Circle will go toward general operating expenses.
