Girls Hope

Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) is an educationally focused non-profit program for at-risk youth. The organization helps academically and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college. BHGC operates two homes in Baltimore, one for boys and one for girls. The scholars are cared for by college-educated, live in, professional Residential Counselors who provide parenting and supervision.

The program provides a girl's home for children ages 9-17. Once a girl enters the program she lives in the house until high school graduation. The 8 Girls Hope residents are victims of abuse, neglect and/ or poverty. BHGH emphasizes academic excellence, community service, and leadership. Participants attend a variety of college preparatory schools, including Bryn Mawr, Notre Dame Prep, and Baltimore School for the Arts along with robust academic support.

Funding from The Baltimore Women's Giving Circle will go towards the hiring of a full-time Academic Success Coordinator through the AmeriCorps program.
