The Club at Collington Square

Making a Difference
Strong City Baltimore, a non-profit organization working to build and strengthen neighborhoods and people in Baltimore, was established in 1969 as the Greater Homewood Community Corporation. Strong City provides and runs a number of programs throughout Baltimore including the Club at Collington Square. The Club at Collington Square is committed to providing a structured, loving haven in a very tough Baltimore neighborhood. The objective of the program is to help develop children as learners and leaders. Operating after school and during the summer, the Club serves 90 children, primarily from Kindergarten to 7th grade. A two-year grant from the Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle will be used for general operations of the Club at Collington Square, primarily to support two staff positions.
