For low-income families, owning a car equates to upward economic mobility. Established in 1999, Vehicles for Changes has awarded 7000 cars to help deserving families, mostly single women and their children, impact their futures through this automobile donation program. Recipients gain access to higher paying jobs as well as neighborhoods with better educational opportunities, childcare, medical and dental facilities, and options to participate in sports and enrichment activities.
The BWGC grant will allow VFC to expand its organizational capacity by providing 10 cars to Baltimore area, low-income women.
