To help single women, aged 60 years and older, who live in the Dundalk area, to obtain prescription eye glasses or dental care, services not covered by Medicare. The Fund also helps women move to senior housing. Established in 2009 by two Dundalk business owners, this non-profit organization is entirely volunteer-run. Volunteers drive clients to the vision center to be fitted for eyeglasses, and return with them to pick up the eyeglasses, for example. Volunteers also raise funds and in-kind donations from local business owners and churches. The Circle grant will help the Fund expand the number of women it serves.
