To help its Power Project continue its year-round after-school program for children ages 5-14. The Center serves over 300 adults, youths and families in the Reservoir Hill area, half of whom live below the federal poverty level. The Power Project offers individualized tutoring, mentoring, and a wide variety of enrichment programs. Children also receive a snack and a hot meal five days a week. The Power Project aims not only to improve academic achievement, but to empower children to become agents of change within their community.
