Culturally Responsive Counseling for Immigrant Women and Their Families

Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP) works to provide culturally responsive services to those seeking counseling.PBCP has a 30-year history of providing free counseling services to families in Maryland who are in need of mental health services they could otherwise not afford. Through the program PBCP meets the needs of women and families in immigrant communities by providing free mental health counseling services in 24 different languages, by over 500 volunteer clinicians, to 325 clients and their families.

Circle funds will be used for outreach in immigrant communities and for recruiting and training volunteers with the cultural knowledge and language skills to serve these populations.
