Rebuilding Together Baltimore (RBT) began in 1989 and is currently focusing efforts in Govans and Dundalk. COmmunities apply and are selected based upon factors including homeownership rates and community needs. RBT aligns its services with organizations that have similar missions but different strategies, including Habitat for Humanity and AmeriCorps. To the extent possible, the homeowners engage with the volunteers to help in the work. RBT services 40-60 homeowners per year.
The Baltimore Women's Giving Circle grant will support general operations, helping to offset personnel and direct repair home costs.
