Shepherd's Clinic, founded over 27 years ago, partners with churches and community organizations to make sure they reach anyone in need and that once through the doors, everyone is well taken care of, including surgery or other supported treatments (eg chemotherapy) through MedStar Health System.
The OB_GYN Program helps with cancer prevention, including cervical cancer which is a vital necessity. Offering these services, along with the surrounding care and healthcare allows women to focus on employment opportunities and help achieve family stability.
The Baltimore Women's Giving Circle grant will be earmarked for breast and cervical cancer screening tests, salaries for two-part-time nurses, and examination supplies for Pap smears.
