Mentoring

Thread enrolls students in the bottom 25% of their 9th grade class, and each student is matched with up to four volunteers to form a Thread Family that represents a diverse cross-section of Baltimore. Thread commits to 10 years with these students and never un-enrolls a young person. Thread offers after-school programming and tutoring, post high school pathway planning, community service outings, and Thread Family activities. Thread changes the odds for young people with the highest needs.

Circle funds will be used to support the after-school program, pathway planning, community service outings and Thread Family activities.
